Felipe Zúñiga

Visual artist, curator, and educator. He received a BA in visual arts from FAD (Arts and Design School) at UNAM, Mexico City and a MFA from UCSD in California. He has focused on cultural management, curation and education. From 2006 to 2009, he coordinated the Lui Velazquez artists in residency program in the city of Tijuana, Baja California. He coordinated educational services for El Cubo at the Tijuana Cultural Center in 2009. He was educational curator for Taller Público (Public Workshop) at Casa Vecina from 2011 to 2013. He was the academic coordinator of the two-year educative program at SOMA during 2017. Since 2011 he is a member of the Platform Art-Education (PAE), with whom he has developed collectively the projects: Mediation Laboratory (Casa del Lago, 2012), Radial: experimental listening situations (Casa Vecina, 2014) and Document: Memory, Visual Construction and Musical Scores at Centro Cultural Border (2015). Currently he is advisor for different public and private cultural initiatives in Mexico City.
