Professor of Art Theory and Contemporary Art at the Graduate School of Arts and Design (Faculty of Arts and Design of the National Autonomous University of Mexico). She has published a number of articles on Postwar German Art, particularly on the artists Joseph Beuys and Bernhard Heisig. In 2017, she edited an anthology with contributions of international scholars on the painters of the former East Germany. She has been invited as guest speaker in universities of Spain, Brasil, Chile and Ecuador, and she was guest researcher at the The German Historical Museum in Berlin, Germany. Her current research focuses on the analysis of artistic innitiatives produced in connection with the case of enforced disappearance of 43 students of the ‘Escuela Normal Isidro Burgos’, in Ayotzinapa, México.
