Taller Intervención: Índigo
Taller Intervención: Índigo is a public program to be created within the framework of the exhibit Intervención: Índigo, in the MUCA Roma in Mexico City, which is an exhibit of the work of Laura Anderson Barbata, curated by Ixchel Ledesma that includes performances and textile art to talk about the appropriation of spaces through rites.
There will be three main axes in this work: the relationships between afro descendant communities and territory, the political implication of the use of índigo as an ink, and the capacity of performance in the appropriation of space in a ritual sense. Starting there, the objective of Taller Intervención Índigo is to place those artistic spaces to provide theoretical reflections and practices that do not come from “expert voices” but from personal experiences.
