Naomi Rincón-Gallardo

Graduated from Escuela Nacional La Esmeralda and master in Education: Culture, language and identity/Crossectoral-Community Arts at Goldsmiths University, London. Her recent production questions the initiatives of the creation of counter-worlds in national recent history, collective process as stage of contradictions. She understands 'research' as a fictional process, and her work integrates music, theatrical games, humor and un-professionalization.

She has presented her work at collective and solo exhibitions such as: Ocotepec Odyssey, Akademie der Kuenste der Welt, Köln (2014), Sexo, drogas y rock8 roll, Museo del Chopo (2014), Mexico Inside Out Themes in Art since 1990: Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth (201 3), Entre Utopía y Desencanto, Jardin Borda, Cuernavaca, Morelos (2014) and El incesante ciclo entre la idea y la acción, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Carrillo Gil (2012), among others. She has taught at Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatan, Claustro de Sor Juana, Universidad Autónoma de Morelos and Clinicas de Especialización de Arte Contemporáneo at La Curtiduria, Oaxaca. She has been involved in teaching in immigration organizations in United Kingdom. From 2010-2012 she was coordinator at Unidad de Vinculación Artística at Centro Cultural Universiario Tlatelolco, UNAM. Since 2013 she belongs to the feminist group INVASORIX. She is now coordinator of community engagement at inSite/Casa Gallina.
