She is candidate for a PhD in Art History at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in the area of Film Studies. Her research interests focus on experimental film, archival film and the exchanges between aesthetics and politics in these contexts of production. She has been a guest editor of the publication El ojo que piensa. Revista de cine iberoamericano. She has participated and organized events and workshops on film theory in Mexico, Brazil and Germany.
