(Nigeria, 1974) is a freelance photographer based in London and Lagos, Nigeria. He studied Business Administration at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, before working as a photographer for “The Comet Newspaper” between 1999-2002. He joined “The Associated Press” in 2002 till 2008. George Osodi’s photographs range between photojournalism, artistic documentary, photography, and activism. Osodi has covered many assignments for both local and international media, with his photographs published in many international and local media such as the New York Times, Time Magazine, Newsweek, the Guardian of London,"The Telegraph", "USA Today", the International Herald Tribune, Der Spiegel, Courrier International, VSD Paris, CNN, BBC Focus on Africa Magazine, Camera Austria and many more. In 2004 he won first prize for the Fuji African Photojournalist of the year award. He lives and works in Lagos and London.
