Alexandre Maubert

(France, 1981), filmmaker and plastic artist. Graduated from the National School of Photography of Arles, integrates, between 2009 and 2011, le Fresnoy, National Studio of Contemporary Arts. His works are present today in numerous institutions, galleries and festivals around the world: Arles Festival 2012, Arte Laguna - Venice Arsenal, New York Photo Festival 2010, Foam Museum, Maison Descartes - Amsterdam, Tish Gallery - NYC, Nuit Blanche of Kyoto, Kassel Film Festival, Über Lebenskunst - Berlin, The Ojo Ajeno Gallery of Lima. His work has been recognized on numerous occasions. It should be noted that he received the first prize of Fonds expérience intéractive of the Pole Image Nord Pas de Calais, the Help to the new media of the CNC, and the Pierre Schaeffer award. In 2012, he won the "Nouvelles Images" award from Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto for the "Ukiyo-e" project to be presented at the world premiere at the Pompidou Center in 2014. Alexandre will be residing at the Tokyo Wonder Site during the September-October 2013, in collaboration with the Center Pompidou, Paris and the Institut Français de Tokyo, Japan. His work is represented by GranulR Agency in Kyoto, Japan.
