Espacio Anómalo is an artist-run space in the city of Culiacán, Sinoaloa. Opened in 2016, this project seeks to activate the generation of knowledge through the discussion, production and exhibition of art and theory, as a way to deal with today's problematic situations. Due to the lack of spaces for emerging artists in that particular region of Mexico, this independent art space contributes as an escape valve for these artists, and gives visibility to their proposals. Its annual exhibition program is developed through the dialogue between foreign and local artists reflecting about the particular context of this city.
